membership requirements

1. Submit your application

Fill out our online application and submit your real estate license. Secondary or former REALTOR® members must also submit a Letter of Good Standing from their most recent primary association. Once your application has been processed, you’ll be contacted by our Membership Coordinator with your next steps.

2. Pay your dues

Pay your prorated local, state, and national dues online through our Member Dashboard. If you have signed up for SentriLock service, your fees will also be included.

3. Complete Code of Ethics Training

New Member Code of Ethics training can be completed online. If you are a secondary member or transferring from another association, your Code of Ethics status must be current. Learn more about Code of Ethics training and check your status at nar.realtor/codeofethics.

4. Complete New Member Orientation

New Member Orientation is a requirement for all new REALTOR® members, including appraisers and must be completed within 90 days of application. This comprehensive orientation provides valuable information on the Association’s structure, benefits, and services.

Members of the Helena Association of REALTORS have the option to purchase our Education Voucher and attend unlimited classes at HAR without paying additional registration fees. Attending classes at your local association gives you the opportunity to build relationships with other real estate professionals who are committed to growth, participate in live discussions with local experts, learn from Montana instructors that understand your market and needs, and access classes taught by national instructors without the expense of attending national conferences.
